Stopped for a quick coffee and cold drink with my youngest daughter ( 8 ) and found a " Jem " . Polite helpful staff , great atmosphere and friendly locals all made a quick unplanned stop over very enjoyable. Food looked great Sunday lunch seemed to be a big favourite ( last serving 2 30 ) and all in a very unassuming bar/ pub. A big thank you to the bar staff ( Sunday )Annie Keira and Laura . I'll definitely be stopping by again along with my daughter Rory and our dogs ( 3 ) Try it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed
brilliant staff!, food and atmosphere
Disappointing. My "Stilton baked cottage pie" was slushy and tasteless. Perhaps the chef was having a bad day.

Lovely country pub. Fantastically clean and tidy. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good beer served well. Excellent food at good prices. Well impressed
